The United Nations security council produces several lists which contain people, organisations, vessels and aircraft with whom trade is sanctioned.  Member States are obliged to implement the measures specific to each listed name as specified on the websites of the related sanctions committee.  As most nations are members of the U.N., this list is considered critical to comply with. 


All the lists are publicly and freely available (https://www.un.org/securitycouncil/content/un-sc-consolidated-list however most organisations will consume this data as part of a larger screening programme, which normally consumes this list, other sanctions list and Politically Exposed Person (PEP) lists to ensure that data is consumed in the most efficient method.
